Aloha, e komo mai!
Hello and welcome!
Looking to add atmosphere through live Hawaiian music for your wedding, fundraiser, corporate, private or public event? Andy has performed solo or with other musicians at a variety of events in the New York tri-state area.
From backyard jams to the big stage, Andy Kūlana Wang plays traditional Hawaiian slack key guitar, ukulele, and sings Hawaiian music from the heart. In March 2010, he appeared as a special guest with "Hawaii's super group" HAPA, joining Barry Flanagan and Nathan Aweau, at The Narrows Center for the Arts (Fall River, MA) and The Kaye Playhouse (New York, NY). He has twice opened for the legendary Mākaha Sons at the Thomas J. Meehan Center for the Performing Arts. Whether it's Staten Island Stadium, the Fire Island Dance Festival or a private home, Andy's music is authentic, rooted in tradition, and transports listeners back home to the islands.
Andy has proudly performed Hawaiian music in New York for these Hawaii-based clients:
- Hyatt Regency Waikiki Beach Resort and Spa
- Hawaii Restaurant Association (Stryker Weiner & Yokota)
- Kohala Coast Resort Association
- Punahou School
- University of Hawai'i Alumni Association
- Hawaii Visitors and Convention Bureau
